Property owners in Franklin’s Historic District play a very important role in the preservation of the district’s heritage and unique character. The HDC's Design Guidelines describe the design review process required for exterior changes to any historic buildings and/or property, and provides guidance on which treatments are appropriate for maintaining and rehabilitating these resources.
